Biafra: "Two pieces of wrapper that our women tie, define the beginning and the end of our borders"---MaziNnamdi Kanu In his l...
In his last live interactive broadcast on Radio Biafra transmitted globally from London on Sunday 17th May 2020, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, repeatedly pointed out that "Nigeria is not a Nation but a mere Geographical Expression". He maintained that a nation comprises of a people that share same cultural background and who also cautiously guide such a culture with jealousy.
Driving home his points, he stated that in Nigeria, people do not culturally share the same background or views and that the only binding factor particularly with those from Northern/some parts of Western regions, is "Islam". The Fulanis who migrated from the Mohammadian Emirates that are presently championing the Nigerian Islamic Movement, are relentlessly laboring to conquer other ethnic groups that were forcefully annexed together in one unworkable entity called Nigeria. Defining what a nation truly represents, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said that such consists of a great majority of the people who always cautiously and consciously share the same cultural values. He added that it is ideally essential for cultural boundaries to match up with the political boundaries of the people. This natural arrangement simply defined, is an acceptably true nation.
The IPOB leader maintained that it is cultural affinity that binds together a nation and not religion as found/practiced in the Nigerian political culture. This he further emphasized, formed the basis why the system is completely flawed. The people do not in anyway share in common the same belief and views of life. Objectively speaking, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu affirmed that Biafra is a nation because it has such irrefutable qualities that constitute nationahood. An instance with the dressing code of the people within Biafra territories was pointedly given. According to him: "Two pieces of wrapper that our women tie, define the beginning and the end of our borders".
He clearly outlined the people that fall within the political boundaries of Biafra and that include the people of Igbanke, Ibibio, Igbo, Idoma, Oron, Efik, Ijaw, Itsekiri, Isoko, Ogoni, Igala, etcetera. He stated that these are the people whose married women and mothers particularly, tie two pieces of wrapper with cultural four markets days of Eke, Orie, Afor and Nkwo. Their dressing code signifies that they all emanated from the same ancestry.
"Anywhere they stop tying two pieces of wrapper, that is Biafra boundary. Our way of dressing is what defines us as a people", the IPOB leader categorically stressed.
He gave a brief on how the British colonialists introduced "divide and rule" system as a tool of dominance over our people. They went as far as splitting us into many parts, telling us that a man from Igboland is no longer the same with his brother from Anioma, Idoma or Igbanke and so forth. They keep dividing us by giving us useless names which keep us struggling to find out whom we really are. They would send in their Fulani terrorists into our land to slay us.
Continuing, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu further gave the clarity that our Biafran people have been greatly subjected to believing lies by the European colonialists who forcefully merged us into one damnable Nigeria. The Yorubas today, are the willing tools, helping the Fulanis whom the British intentionally handed over the power, to predominantly continue to rule over us. He clearly warned the Yoruba journalists to desist from peddling lies as well as fanning the embers of discord against/amongst the Biafran people. These evil acts he warned, would earn them damnable consequences if continued with.
On the current Fulani janjaweed influx into Biafraland, the IPOB leader revealed, that war is definitely looming. He maintained that he repeatedly warned Biafran residents in the United States of America back in the year 2015, about this very day but no one paid heed. Now it is happening. He said that the problem with some of our Igbo brothers is that they are naturally stingy and destructively individualistic and that was one of the many reasons we lost the Biafra/Nigeria war from 1967 to 1970. "No Igboman will like to bring out 1 million monetarily, to support IPOB for the defense of our land, he stated.
The Fulani janjaweed only need two sets of people to penetrate our land and these are: "The Saboteurs and The Traitors". Kanu proceeded to mention the likes of Nnia Nwodo, Okezie Ikpeazu, Hope Uzodimma, Ike Ekweremadu, Willie Obiano, Ralph Uwazuruike, Edwin Clarke, Igwe of Ogbunike who recently gave out our land to the Fulani foot soldiers to camp in, Ohaneze Ndigbo and PANDEF. He stated that these people and organizations are the willing tools for the Fulani Islamic jihadists from Northern Nigeria, who are piloting the affairs of the country. He however, enjoined these Biafrans to toe the honorable path of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who has remained consistent on the path of truth, defending his own people, if they realistically, wish to be accorded respect as Biafra elders.
Speaking further, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said that Ralph Uwazuruike was a fraudster who went about, deceiving gullible Biafrans all in the name of Biafra. He reiterated that because the struggle for Biafra Independence is divinely ordained, the wrath of Elohim will certainly fall upon him (Uwazuruike), in due time.
Responding to those who tag him on social media as President of the Biafra nation, Kanu made reference to the Amazon online business platform, stressing that even the tiny Amazon that does not produce anything, made 7.5 billion dollars turnover in just three months in 2020. This was far more bigger and economically valuable than Nigeria's one year budget.
For those asking for Biafra Constitution, the IPOB leader said, that an independent Biafra nation will operate a Confederal System of Government. He further stated that each part (region) of Biafra would be solely running their affairs on their respective chosen indigenous languages, but reporting to the central government on purely salient national concerns.
In conclusion, Kanu maintained that war is already on our door steps and that unless our people living in the diaspora especially in the United States of America support IPOB, our blessed land of inheritance, would be overrun by the marauding Fulani foot soldiers that are being sent in droves into Biafra territories.
