Protesters Shot Dead By Nigerian Police At Akwata/Coal Area, Enugu State
#EndSARSNow Protesters who trooped out into the streets of Enugu in the morning hours of Friday 23rd October 2020, were brutally attacked by the officers and men of the Nigerian police force. The protesters who were peacefully protesting in line with #EndSARS and #EndPolicBrutality campaign nationwide, came under disruption and unprovoked murderous gun fire by the combined team of the Nigerian security officers.
Not less than twelve (12) unarmed, innocent and peaceful protesters were instantly shot dead. Somewhere in Coal camp and Akwata of Enugu on Friday 23rd morning, the Nigerian police force were glaringly firing live bullets into the protesting crowd. Several persons reportedly sustained very high degree of gunshot injuries. Meanwhile, a number of protesters for the past five days have been killed in the State. Some others were killed by the Nigerian mobile police officers at Mayor junction along Agbani road area in Enugu. An Eye witness revealed that a policeman shot and killed four (4) young men right in his presence, at Mayor market area on Thursday 22nd October, 2020.
Presently, the youths are very angry within Enugu and have promised to avenge the gruesome death of their colleagues/friends.
