An Unending "Biafran War" And A Simple Case For A Revolution

The Biafra genocidal war between 1967 and 1970, in which not less than three million Igbos were massacred, according to Professor Chinualumogu Albert Achebe, was fought because Nigerians were driven by a single purpose: the hatred for Biafrans especially the Igbo tribe. The no victor, no vanquished mantra was only a lip service floated to deceive Biafrans into a false sense of hope and integration. There were very many intentional anti-Biafrans government policies right after that war. These biased and ethnically engineered system resetting policies ranging from abandoned property policy (the policy of forfeiture of property as a spoil of war), through the payment of twenty (20) pounds (a policy of uniform bank payment regardless of the bank balance), to the indigenization of corporation (a deliberate act of investment emasculation), were shocking but not surprising and weree carefully crafted out against the people. 

The BBC interview of 1958, two years before independence of Ahmadu Bello, was a red flag of what was to come but majority of the Nigerian founding fathers were less suspecting and could not read the handwriting on the wall. The Chukwuma Nzeogu led revolutionary coup of January 15, 1966, was too little, too late.  The inevitable rivalry between Awolowo and Azikiwe had allowed without protest, the creation of a neo-colony and worse, the Fulani at the helm.

At first, the general sentiment and concerted effort was for a ‘domineering’ Igbo to be tamed – a lie parroted by Britain. By now, it is clear that there was a quid-pro-quo agreement between Britain and the Fulanis. Emboldened by the inaction of the comity of nations, the land and house deprivation, the paucity of accessible fund and the investment isolation, began to spread to other ethnic nationalities including Hausa, Bachama, Nupe, Beron, Junkun, Tiv, Ebira, Igala, Gbagi, Kanuri, to mention but a few. Britain understood extensively the lack of compatriot spirit between the domineering Fulani and the stubborn Igbo and so, seized to exploit it in the post-independence Nigeria by allowing monumental idiots in charge so long as their business interests are protected. The decline of Nigeria was unhurried, slow but steady..A confederated nation that served the interest of all (the Eastern, Western and Northern regions were self-sufficient and thriving), had been skewed to favor one tribe – the Fulani.

In keeping with the ideology of Ahmadu Bello, the Fulanis began the implementation of the northernization agenda. Below are few examples:

*State Creation

Even though the Fulani is a minority tribe, they used the conquered Hausa population to disproportionately create 19 States for the North and 17 States for the South, with Fulanis as Governors in 15 Northern States.

* Local Government Creation

The norm is to use population for distribution of amenities. However, the Fulanis hate complexities hence the decision to use local government as a revenue sharing formula.  It is not rocket science to figure the reason for more states in the North. The miscarriage of justice is glaring when Lagos is compared to Kano. With the same population (although this is a subject of dispute), Kano has twice the number of local governments in Lagos and Jigawa States carved out of it.

* Exclusive List

 By introducing a 68 items exclusive list to be legislated only by the federal legislature and gerrymandering the political demography, it ensured the enslavement of the rest of the country since more states and local governments meant more legislative representation.

* Economic Sabotage And Monpoly

 Federal Government has banned almost every commodity the private sector (populated by Southerners) import, withdrawn or refused to give licenses to, while granting monopoly to Aliko Dangote (a Fulani). Eastern businessmen, like Mazi Cletus Ibeto, have harrowing stories to tell. At first, only one commercial International Airport was allowed in the entire Southern Nigeria – Murtala  Mohammed International Airport (MMA) in Lagos. There is a pattern between how the Onne, Warri, Igweocha (Port Harcourt) and Calabar Seaports were rendered non-operational and how the four refineries were closed down.

The Federal Character (Quota System) is a corrupt version of the USA’s Affirmative Action. No workable society relies on quota system because it negates merit. The second coming of Mr. Buhari ensured the bastardization of the Federal Character. Now the Fulanis control the three arms of government and every important government position including the security apparatus even without merit. 

Conversely, the Fulanis operate the terrorist groups in Nigeria whether it is ISWAP, Boko Haram, Miyetti Allah, Fulani Herdsmen, Banditry, etc. These terror groups are moving from around, pillaging, raping, abducting, kidnapping and killing people from other tribes/regions and seizing their ancestral lands.

What Nigeria needs now is what is called a revolution. A ‘Revolution’ is the forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favour of a new system. There is no doubt that Nigeria needs a breath of fresh air now, lest everyone gets choked up. The Nigerian government is a government of terrorists, for the terrorists and by the terrorists. Only a ‘revolution’ can save other tribes (in the British contraption) from the marauding Fulani murderers. One Nigeria as being presented by the Fulani Janjaweed, is a big scam and needs to be dismantled. It is better we end Nigeria before Nigeria ends us all. Divide Nigeria now and save lives.
