End Sars Protest: IPOB Secure The release of 26 Detained Biafran Youths

Twenty six (26) young Biafrans out
of the many, abducted and detained since October 2020, have eventually regained their freedom, courtesy of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Recall that numerous IPOB members were arrested in Obigbo, Rivers State, during the nationwide Endsars protests in the last quarter of 2020. They were moved to the North and incarcerated. These men were however, subsequently granted bail through the fulfillment of all legal requirements by IPOB legal team, in the month of March, 2021.

Unfortunately, their release could not be immediately effected due to the nationwide strike embarked on by judiciary staff. This elongated their stay in detention until Thursday 24th June, 2021. It is noteworthy to state here that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have so far, totally secured the release of over four hundred (400) illegally detained Biafrans, abducted in Obigbo, Rivers State, and taken down to detention facilities in Northern Nigeria.

A handful of others yet being detained are one hundred and ten (110) Biafrans moved to Alfa Commando Military Base in Suleja, Abuja. There is this information however, that three (3) amongst them, have died, leaving one hundred and seven (107). It is hopefully believed that their release will soon be secured.

Meanwhile, over two hundred (200) other forcefully arrested Biafrans were equally lifted from Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra and Imo States respectively, to Makurdi Prison, Benue State. The IPOB legal team has initiated the required bail processes for the release of thirty one (31) of them, twenty nine (29) males and two (2) females.

The above, are pieced together as confirmation to the ordeals that Biafrans are really going through in the hands of the desperate Nigerian government and most assuredly, these heinous crimes against the innocent, cannot go unrewarded. Biafrans must definitely be set free from the shackles of slavery.
