IPOB Sit-At-Home Order And The Politically Instigated Attack On Civilians
A popular adage says: "you can only give a dog a bad name in order to hang it". The political blackmail embarked upon by the Nigerian media against the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on the planned unbroken "Sit-at-home" protests tagged "GHOST TOWN" on Mondays within Biafraland, is one of such acts of giving a dog a bad name in order to facilitate its death. This is totally unacceptable. Up till date, IPOB has maintained a peaceful demand for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra through various civil and constitutional means. These include mass protests as obtainable all over the world, media debates and civil disobedience. The demand for REFERENDUM is never an act of war but a necessary antidote for peaceful coexistence. Words cannot therefore express the desire of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to broker peace by every means possible, yet in tune with the quest for freedom.
The consistent attacks on infrastructure and human rights in the South-East region of Nigeria particularly, by the Nigerian government and its dubious media, have completely, no evidence of truth. The Nigerian Military on the other hand, is well known for committing various staged civilian casualties in its mad bid to subdue any found voice of reason and freedom. This is evident in the massacre of innocent civilians at the "EndSARS Protests", to the tune of over ninety nine (99) people in a single night, an atrocity that vividly attracted worldwide condemnation. Also the Obigbo (Rivers State) massacre of civilian population on the orders of Governor Nyesom Wike, the Python Dance 1, 2 and 3 in Abia State and the bombarding of the civilian population by the Nigerian Airforce in Orlu, Imo State, on the orders of Governor Hope Uzodinma, are irrefutable evidences of vampirism. All these events are state-sponsored ethnic cleansing and state-sponsored terror activities aimed at subduing the voice of freedom from the people.
The people of Biafra are not known for violence since the time of Aburi Accord, struck in Ghana in the early sixties. It has always been a burning desire to live peacefully and harmoniously compete with the outside world. Late Odimegwu Ojukwu, the then Military Governor of the old Eastern region, demanded for peace through the Aburi Accord which Nigeria blatantly flouted and brought an annihilative war upon the people for ever daring to ask. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader, has now called for the same peace through the process of a referendum which is a civil right and again, they have brought upon the indigenous civilian populations of Biafra, another war. Using the Boko Haram infested Nigerian military and the corrupt governors of Biafran extension as willing tools to aid the fulanization and terror agenda against the people, is to say the least, most callous, inhuman and devilish.
The Sit-at-home protest declared to hold every Monday which commenced on the 9th of August 2021, has brazenly shown the willingness of a people to toe the path of peace and preserve the lives of innocent civilians from state-orchestrated terror activities that are being driven by the Nigerian military on armless Biafran civilians even in their ancestral land. The "Ghost Town" initiative will never stop until the terrorist government of Nigeria unconditionally releases Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention and a date for a referendum, duly given. Peace and unfettered freedom are all that Biafrans through IPOB, genuinely seek for.
