Breaking News: IPOB Sierra Leone Detained National Coordinator, Regains Freedom
The arrested and detained National Coordinator of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Chidi Uchendu, has eventually regained his freedom. Recall that he was reportedly arrested from his business location in Freetown and detained by the Sierra Leonian officials of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), on Monday 27th September, 2021.
His arrest bordered on issues relating to Biafra restoration agitations. Mazi Chidi Uchendu was detained for five (5) days before his release which was effected on Friday 1st October, 2021, having been found innocent of perceived charges. He remained strong in his moments of incarceration and has vowed never to be deterred in the struggle, no matter the circumstances, as he rejoined the Sierra Leone based IPOB family.
