The Carnage Of The Nigerian Military At Mgbowo, Enugu State
An eye witness report has it that officers and men of the Nigerian
army invaded Isingwu Imeama, Mgbowo, in Awgu local government area of Enugu
State, at about 2:00am on Monday being 1st of November, 2021. They were armed
with highly sophisticated weapons of war. Sporadic shootings ravaged the entire
community against the relatively peaceful and innocent village dwellers. Men,
women, the elderly and children were subjected to fear and anxiety as they were
all scampering for safety at that time of the night. Some of them sustained
varying degrees of injuries. The entire community was deserted, rendering the
villagers, homeless.
At about 8:00pm, the military eventually departed, leaving the people of Mgbowo, in palpable fear and tension. None of the indigenes could courageously stay behind due to the series of brutality meted on them. At about 4:00pm, the same officers of the Nigerian army, returned to the community and began shooting at random at homes, with high level of destruction of lives mostly aged people, children and properties. Many valuable properties like motorcycles were carted away.
Mr. Paulo (aka Achi), an indigene, stated that his own
motorcycle was stolen by the invading army personnel which was yet to be
recovered. An eye witness who don’t want
his name on print further revealed to Family Writers Press International that
Mr. Pedro Okwudiri, Chairman of Awgu local government area was brain behind the
Nigerian military carnage against innocent people of Awgu
Family Writers Press
International.
