Nnamdi's Court Case Adjourned Till January 19th, To Enable Legal Team Study the amended Charges
Justice Binta Nyako of the federal high court of Abuja has adjourned the case of Nnamdi Kanu to 19th January 2022 after an intense argument by the Nnamdi Kanu's team of lawyer over the fresh fifteen(15) counts amended charges, filled in barely 24-hours before the court sitting.
The Judge also Instructed the Department of State Service(DSS) to allow Nnamdi Kanu a change of his clothes, while in their custody. The defense council to Nnamdi Kanu also pleaded the court to grant them permission to have a brief meeting with their client before transferring him to the custody, this discussion shall enable them to harmonize their legal strategy over the new amended charge by the federal republic of Nigeria. The presiding Judge, Justice Nyako also considered the plea by Kanu's defense council.
Presently, the court sitting has been adjourned to 19th of January 2022.
Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu was seen in court today as he was smiling in good spirit, though it is saddening behold that the DSS have not allowed him to change his clothes since he was extraordinarily renditioned from Kenya to Nigeria in June, 2021.
