 Make Your Visit Meaningful By Seeing Facts On The Ground, Not Fictions From Buhari's Administration --- Akintoye Tells UN Chief

The story emanating from the South-western region of Nigeria or "Oduduwa land"  has it that Ilana Omo Oodua Separatist leader,  Professor Banji Akintoye, has advised the visiting United Nations(UN) Secretary General, Antonio Guterres to make his fact-finding visit to Nigeria ‘meaningful, impactful and worth the while' by seeing facts on the ground and not the fictions that the Muhammadu Buhari administration may package for him. This is contained a statement released in Lagos by Professor Akintoye's Media and Communications Adviser, Maxwell Adeleye. The Oduduwa separatist leader advised Guterres to meet the right people in the country, who will give him the true picture of the current Nigerian tragedy, warning that the government may deceive the UN Chief.

According to Adeleye's statement, “The Buhari administration have started doing that already by preventing the UN chief from meeting the right people and from going to the right places". He pointed that the  Buhari government is shielding the UN Chief from knowing the truth and from the reality on the ground, by deceiving Guterres not to see the atrocities and deceit of the Buhari administration. Adeleye said, “At the peak of the deception, Guterres’ schedule has been amended to divert him from the theatres of the atrocious bestiality of killers, murderers, bandits, herders and kidnappers that the Buhari administration has treated with kid gloves.”

Mr Adeleye reiterated that Buhari is why Nigeria is on fire. Reason is because, in a supposed democracy, the Buhari’s government is rather run as a "government of the Fulanis by the Fulani and for the Fulani", and the pedigree, antecedents, spoken words and body language of Buhari as a person supports Islamic fundamentalism. The policies and politics of his administration as well, are enablers to the same.  

Continuing however, a cross section of respondents have argued that as a United Nations Czar, the UN Chief is privy to secret Intels. He can not be deceived by omission but by commission. One of the respondents who wants to be anonymous pointed out the hypocrisy and political shenanigan of the visit. She argued that what should be the objective of the visit is the extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and incarceration of freedom fighters whose only demand is ‘referendum’, not the insecurity whose source is known by every intelligence agency to come from the Janjaweed government of President Muhammadu Buhari. Another asked sarcastically "if referendum is expensive and selective"?

Given the attitude of the United Nations in abandoning her crisis prevention role and yielding to the rogue bureaucracy answerable to politicians, it will be a surprise to see Antonio Guterres not yield to the United Kingdom bureaucrat, Catriona Laing!
