 Thread With Caution, Lest You Awake A Sleeping lion; Thereby Murdering Sleep In The Entire Nation For Ages - - IPOB Warns Nigeria Government.

The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) has come out strongly against the attitudes of the lawless Nigeria government in using hunger and denial of medication as a form of torture against Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the founder and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. This condemnation is contained in the 17th December 2022 press release from the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful.

IPOB is greatly enraged at the use of starvation and denial of access to medication against their leader again, same method which was a weapon during the ill-fated Biafra genocidal war of 1967-1970. The freedom movement further reminded the Fulani controlled Nigeria government and their foreign enablers that nobody has a monopoly of violence. Stating that the mantra would be well understood should any unexpected tragedy happen to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu while under their unlawful and unconstitutional detention.

Some of the excerpts from the press release read thus: “Now, it is crystal clear to the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) that Nigeria Government, through the Department of State Security(DSS) is killing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu gradually. Their recent and previous actions of starving him and their nonchalant attitude on the health of  Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (the Indefatigable leader of IPOB) is a clear evidence that they want him dead in their dungeon.”

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been kept in detention for a year and some months now.  An Umuahia Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal in Abuja discharged and acquitted Kanu of all the charges. Notwithstanding, Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of Nigeria and the Minister of Justice in a flagrant violation of the law and disobedience to an order of a competent court of jurisdiction, insisted on keeping him in detention and torturing him ad infinitum.

The press release expressly informed that IPOB will not take it lightly with Malami, DSS and the entire nation of Nigeria if anything bad or untoward happens to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It says, “The heat will be enormous, and there will be no room for an escape for those that committed these atrocities.”  The press release highlighted that Nigeria has money to feed those in detention and can not use lack of money as an excuse to starve Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and deny him access to his personal physician, despite the knowledge of his heart problems and some mineral deficiencies which needs a specialist to take care of.

Unequivocally, IPOB made it clear that they are not fools, their ingenuity can not be underestimated. They equally understand the gimmicks the DSS and Malami are displaying in order to debilitate and slowly kill their leader and that they will never leave any stone unturned to make sure they did not succeed in their evil plan to eliminate him.

IPOB warns that they have been a peaceful and non-violent organization, whose only aim is to restore Biafra as a Nation. But now, their patience has reached elasticity. Insisting that nobody should raise his/her ugly head if they are forced to become violent or even resort to self help since the Nigerian judiciary is incapable of guaranteeing obedience to her orders, because entire world will be affected directly and indirectly, eventually. 

Going further they advised that “Malami and his cohorts in this game and drama should heed to the good advice and directives of the UN working groups, to as a matter of urgency, release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without delay and make room for a referendum now that the atmosphere is calm for such action.”

Recall that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team shocked the whole world when they announced that the Nigeria government for the past nine days has not provided Nnamdi Kanu with his life-saving medications and shamefully claimed not to have money to provide him food. This unwelcomed information immediately sparked a peaceful protest by Biafran women across major cities in Eastern Nigeria(Biafra), demanding that Nigeria government obey court orders and set a date for referendum.
