Biafra:  Killing Of IPOB Peaceful Protesters In Aba Was Done Under The Watch Of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu

The Friday 31st March 2023 massacre of the indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) peaceful protesters by Nigerian Joint Forces under the command of Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, is a sin I know will not go unpublished. Members of the Biafra restoration movement that matched in their thousands on the street of Aba, demanding the immediate release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu were gruesomely murdered by the trigger-happy Nigerian Security, without any provocation.

As seen through all social media platforms, these IPOB members matched peacefully, chanting songs of freedom in solidarity with their detained leader, demanding that he be unconditionally released according to court's order. As the protest was on going, there were sights of motorist going their ways with no sign of disruption, people in their residents were as well sighted hailing the protesters in solidarity for the release of the illegal and continue detention of their leader Nnamdi Kanu. The protesters were seen really organized in a way it will not be accused of bridging law and order. Infact, it was a model of protest that looks absolutely different in the history of protests in the whole of Africa as it relates peacefulness and civility. These sights were testaments to the fact that the protest was indeed never meant for any ugly reason. 

And, recall that IPOB have demonstrated on several occasions to be a civil, peaceful and unwaveringly maintaining the stand in non-violence approach to Biafra freedom. Never have the movement opted for gun confrontation against her oppressors, or have they bridged any law or order, irrespective of how the Nigeria state and her agents have continue pushing them to the wall.

These, and more are why it is really 'an opening of a can worm' for the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu to subject himself as a tool of Fulani, against his own people he swore an oath to protect. It is sad indeed and pathetic that someone of his kjnd who knows the danger of touching the tail of a sleeping lion could have allowed himself to be manipulate into drawing the battle line with large IPOB of family.

A peaceful protest which should be a direct call for a peaceful round table talk, a peaceful protest which is actually a direct call for a United Nations(UN) supervised referendum consultations from a civilized government, turned to be a clampdown and gruesome murder of the people of Igbo Biafra.

It is worth reminding all the state actors in the continued genocide on Biafraland that, as times are different, so things are different now. IPOB is keeping records of their acts of gruesome killing of Biafrans, adoption and forceful disappearance of the people. And definitely, there is assuredly going to be a pay back at this different time, as in the same coins they used against the Biafra freedom movement.
