IPOB In United Kingdom Continues The Push For Nnamdi Kanu's Release, Demands For Biafran Referendum
The United Kingdom(UK) Family of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) has initiated another step towards ensuring the eventual unconditional release of the unlawfully detained leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and also make a crucial step that Biafrans are given a referendum date to decide their fate in Nigeria.
According to a report made available to Family Writers Press International(FWPI), the UK IPOB family which operates in submission to the IPOB Worldwide Structure overseen now by the IPOB Directorate Of State(DOS) in the temporal absence of Nnamdi Kanu, made known their success in the recent efforts towards a direction approved for them by the DOS.
The report further narrates how the family has put up plans for a face-to-face meeting with about 650 members of the UK Parliament, some of which have been met while necessary procedures have been set out to ensure that the rest are approached too.
It went on to explain that the purpose for this DOS approved approach for the IPOB UK family is to further demonstrate that the Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB is ever committed to peaceful advocacy, and believes that the voice of IPOB will be heard.
Bellow is the report in full;
"As part of this effort, we have initiated a face-to-face engagement with over 650 members of Parliament across the UK. IPOB members will be visiting MPs in their constituents to shed light on the importance of securing Kanu's unconditional release and the right to hold a Biafran Referendum".
"We are committed to peaceful advocacy and believe that our voices must be heard".
"We are extremely grateful for the warm reception provided by Claudia Webbe
@ClaudiaWebbe in her office" .
We are encouraged by the support we have received from MPs who have demonstrated a commitment to justice and human rights.
"We remain resolute in our pursuit of these important goals and will continue to engage with members of Parliament until we achieve success".
