Biafra: The Mandate To Protect and Project IPOB As A Nonviolent Organization Must Continue~ Mazi Emeka Gift
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, since inception remains a peaceful, nonviolent self determination movement championed by her leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB's commitment to her principle of nonviolent approach to the agitation for Biafra Restoration over the years remains unbreakable, distinguishing her as the largest mass movement among other self determination groups across the world.
Reiterating IPOB's core principle, Mazi Emeka Gift during his birthday message, via his tweet made on Wednesday, 13th March 2024, reassured Biafrans of the need to remain consistent with the mandate of projecting the hallowed movement, IPOB in every good light while countering the incessant blackmails, impersonation, spurious narratives from Nigerian government institutions, agent provocateurs and fifth columnists bent on tarnishing the hard earned international image and reputation of IPOB noble movement.
Mazi Emeka Gift, who stands out as one of the many top media warriors in IPOB, recounted the duty he and his team, Family Writers Press International were instructed to carry out directly by IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
My only assignment is to protect and project IPOB as none violent movement advocating for #Biafra restoration. That is what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu assigned me and many of us. Media is me and I am media...that is my duty, I have no other assignment. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu told me that IPOB… pic.twitter.com/8EKBkb7IL7

He says,
"My only assignment is to protect and project IPOB as none violent movement advocating for #Biafra restoration. That is what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu assigned me and many of us. Media is me and I am media...that is my duty, I have no other assignment."
He also noted that he received a direct instruction from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to never allow any slanderous narrative from any quarters present IPOB in a bad picture or associate the movement as being a terrorist or any violent tag see the light if the day.
"Mazi Nnamdi Kanu told me that IPOB is a nonviolent movement that in no circumstances should I and my team allow any body, organization and government to associate IPOB with violent movement. He detailed me the dangers of allowing that to happen", he says.
While reassuring his unalloyed commitment to protect IPOB against false narratives, he says,
"Hence I will continue to stand tall in defending IPOB, projecting its nonviolent policies".
Addressing the need to educate Biafrans and the general public of the importance to sustain the fight against the government's heavy propaganda against IPOB, he urged Biafrans to remain consistent and unwavering against the Nigerian government's incessant blackmails to tag peaceful IPOB a terrorist organization before the world.
"Have you asked yourself why Nigeria government associate IPOB with every violent groups in South East. Every crime in the South East is now associated with IPOB, this is deliberate. Some of our people refused to understand the dangers of projecting and associating IPOB to violent group. If Nigeria government succeeds in convincing the world to see IPOB as violent group, many of us will withdraw our support to IPOB struggle and it will die. Today IPOB is the face of Biafra struggle and any mistake in allowing Nigeria government succeed in presenting IPOB to the world as terror group then that will be the end of IPOB", he says.
"If IPOB dies today, every other group claiming of fighting for Biafra will disappear and stop existing. Many of them were set up by government to fight IPOB, We Shall Keep Protecting IPOB", he concluded.
As birthday wishes to him from Biafrans across various social media platforms continue to pour in, Mazi Emeka Gift remains grateful to Biafrans.
