Keeping Africa Subject, Subordinate, Suppressed And Impoverished Is An Existential Need For The West

The general concept and belief about how the collective west (Western Europe and United States of America) is a free society founded on democratic principles, has come under heavy attack and been disproved as a misleading concept. Not a few reputable scholars and public analysts argue that such a statement is quite undemocratic because it does not have any supportive verifiable fact or rooted in reality. They opine that for such a statement to be true, it means that the underlying fundamentals of democracy must be empirically confirmed rather than subjected to hypothetical abstract. The elements of the people, by the people and for the people must be present; indisputably enthroned level playing ground and selfless protection of human rights.

In contrast, they make the argument that leadership in the western hemisphere is populated by warmongers whose ideology hinges on forever wars and sadistic definition of life as a zero-sum game. For example, emphasis was made on how Europe and America initiate cross-border crisis that lead to the collapse of other countries, especially in Africa. Or how some strategic initiative was taken with the exclusion and discrimination of Africa mostly. Initiative such as the SWIFT payment system which dollarized the global economy to the exclusive advantage of US was cited. 

While some countries like Russia and China have been able to contain and counter the existential threat posed by Western Europe and the US, the latter’s chokehold on Africa has led to socio-economic and political stillborn with a life threatening hemorrhage. The trouble of the African continent can be traced to the balkanization of 1884 – 85 in Berlin, Germany. The Berlin conference was anchored on zero-sum belief system. A system that encourages plundering and pilfering. Till date, the entire United States of America Foreign Policy towards Africa originated from the Berlin conference belief system.

For a proper perspective, the Foreign Policy regime of US cannot be overemphasized. The US Foreign Policy Document says that Africa’s existence is purely for raw material. Furthermore, it says that Africa must not be allowed to develop her infrastructure as that would constitute a national security risk for America. Think about this and let it sink in!

Unfortunately, the document is not a conspiracy theory. Otherwise, the US will not construct a rail network from Kenya, away from a population through a thick forest to illegal mines in Congo. It will not mastermind the killing of popular politicians like Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, to mention a few. These were men that loved their people; visionary leaders with infrastructural development stride.  When the leaders survive or escape, funding is made available to the opposition, from Brussels or Washington, to sponsor political fissure that will encourage tribal bigotry. This eventually ends in fratricidal war. 

Biafra is an example of such evil conspiracy against Africa. Between 1960 – 1967, Eastern Nigeria which metamorphosed to Biafra had a robust economy and an exponential infrastructural development. By 1970/1971, as the genocidal war came to an end, all that evaporated. However, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been kidnapped by Nigeria government agents, acting the script of Britain, for demanding a closure to the Biafra question.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and, indeed, Africa deserve freedom. Enough is enough!
