Nigeria, Guilty As Accused By Tchiani Of Being Terrorism Confection In West Africa
It is already public knowledge especially to the conscious minds, that the past two weeks has been a turbulent one in the West Africa Sahel neighborhood, as the institutional and aggressive posturing between the nascent, vibrant Alliance Of Sahel States (ASS or AES in French) and the old, fragile and decaying Nigeria-led ECOWAS has continued to aggravate uncontrollably.
Lately, the leader of Niger Republic – an AES member state bordering Nigeria at the northern front, Brigadier General Abdourahamane Tchiani accused the incumbent Nigeria president, Bola Tinubu and other members of his security cabinet such as the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu etc of colluding with the French not only to resettle expelled French military contingents from the AES countries in Northern Nigeria, but allegedly involved in active collaboration with the Boko Haram & Lukarawa terrorists to perform surgical sabotage operations against Niger's national assets, E.g is the blown up Chinese built/co-owned crude oil pipeline at the Niger-Benin Republic border.
Of course, Nigeria has denied the allegations, calling it baseless. And in the home front immediately deployed irrelevant distractive frivolities (the Verydarkman embezzlement scandal etc) using the social media to immerse the Nigerian population in clout-chasing and keep them away from taking interests in their national security concerns and contemporary regional developments. Sadly, The inhabitants of the Nigerian enclave are the perfect manipulable nitwits, incomparable to none other in the world.
Nevertheless, this piece is targeted at addressing and as much as possible, analyzing the very pressing development at hand.
The Nigerian government has been the logistical, financial and political/ideological launchpad Islamic radicalism not only in the West Africa sub region but extensively towards north Africa. We must all bare in the mind, the role Nigeria played in the destruction of Libya and overthrow of Late Mummar Gaddaffi. And, the reason for this is largely because of the Fulani ultranationalist oligarchy strongly grounded in the Nigerian political system.
The Northern political class sponsored and used terrorism as a political tool to manipulate and retain power in Nigeria. They created and sponsored terrorists groups to frustrate any leader from the south trying to helm the affairs of the central government. And, by making sure that power stays within their reach, they were able to provide support to these terrorists – mostly Fulanis-Tuaregs –that ravaged the Sahel states, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger Republic, Center Africa Republic, Senegal etc until the advent of the Russians first in CAR and, which ultimately heralded the indigenous people-oriented military revolutionaries in Sahel today, to stand up against the nomadic land grabbers masquerading under the veil of islamic jihad to advance their intra-ethnic agenda.
The West before now cooperated with the terrorists and their local sponsors, since the provided them reasons to advance their goal of putting boots on the ground in Africa once again, under the guise of combating terrorism and unchecked exploitation of mineral resources. While the terrorists enjoys the momentary geographical dominance, displacing the indigenous populations and receiving financial, logistical support from all beneficiaries.
The Fulani Oligarch, its head in Nigeria sought to culminate what would become the "Fulani empire" spanning across the Sahel down to south towards the Atlantic Ocean. Infact, the mantra and dream which the founder of the Fulani Sokoto caliphate, was to "dip the Quran in the Atlantic Ocean". Hence, terrorism flourished in the Sahel. Pre-AES era, Mali lost 80% of its sovereignty, Burkina Faso was pulverized, in Niger Republic, Mohammed Bazoum who was a member of the Arab community, affiliated with the Tuaregs. Hence, Niger Republic was under their finger tip and their playing ground linking to northern Nigeria.
The propagation continued towards the south of Nigeria. And, even Nigeria northern leaders such as El Rufai etc boasted of how they gave large sum of money to the terrorists which they undoubtedly used to strengthen their terror arsenal for the ultimate agenda of grabbing lands for the resettlement of the nomadic Fulani tribes.
However, certain factors impeded that plan. The Indigenous people backed obviously backed by the Russians took power and are fighting to retake their ancestral lands. While displacing the imperialists which enabled them for material purposes. In Nigeria, power also changed hands and it came with internal political tussle afterwards. Hence, the Tinubu's administration in order to save his government from sabotage by the Fulani oligarch is in bed with the French who are being displaced simultaneously across the board.
Keeping in mind that most known international terrorist groups eventually strayed from the ideological/religious path and benefactors and became gun for hire for the highest bidder, when it became less convenient to sustain. Examples of this are bound. And, also taking cognizance of the fact that the interest of the West in Africa is now split, each imperial power pursuing its own national interests ruthlessly and individually.
Thus, the French are fighting to recover its lost ground using every tool and factor available and the terrorists especially the section who were displaced by militaries of the AES are now on the side of the French as willing tools against the AES itself. Notwithstanding the strategic slacken of their northern Nigeria political godfathers whom are trying to reconnect to the people of the AES, from being indoctrinated against them by their leaders over the landgrabbing agenda of the Fulanis across West Africa to their people.
Although, this is already happening but in a larger scale. Nigeria is presented as proxy of the West against the AES, a force in the neighborhood impeding their revolution and must be stopped. The consequences of this is that the seemingly religious and cross-border fraternity between the people in northern Nigeria and those in the AES is systematically being severed.
If this succeed, northern Nigeria will suffer greatly and the Fulani agenda will be frustrated as it will create a ripple even within northern Nigeria. This is why the northern leaders are restless and are even voicing for the division of Nigeria. If that happens they intend to secure, at least northern Nigeria and commence the reconnection with the AES before further damage is done.
No matter what happens from here, we must never forget that the northern oligarchy brought this doom to West Africa and itself. And, how they manage and navigate through its unfolding consequences will be left to be seen.
