The IPOB Struggle For A Sovereign Biafra And The Resilience Code 

The Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) have candidly remained resilient in all ramifications to the core precepts of the Biafra freedom ideology. Parts of these precepts date far back as the days of the Biafran eternal Leader, General Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

Let me start by stating here as a reminder or notice to any probably ignorant mind, that, Biafra never died nor did Biafrans ever forget the exploits of our comrades in the abruptly birthed Nation on May 30 1967, at the behest of the people's general, Odumegwu Ojukwu. The possibilities a free Biafra offered her citizens in the though turbulent few years of her Sovereignty remains a course for study. And, never forget that though Nigeria hid history from the young generation, the national morals of Biafra still remains embedded in her sons and daughters, and can never die, irrespective of what anyone does. 

This is why it is laughable to hear that some folks claim to redeclare Biafra. Something much more like saying you want to give another life to a living man or reminding an over fifty year old man that he is alive. What an arrant nonsense!

It is actually absurd to anyone with sound reasoning. But of course, it is a scam!

Biafra is alive. That is why many Biafrans in different parts of the world have dared all consequences and denounced the country Nigeria for the Biafra that breaths ceaselessly in their spirits. This is same reason people have accepted to take live bullets and died because living makes no sense when you are denied your true identity. 

So, do not mistake the global wickedness against Biafra to mean that Biafra does not exist. She lives in the hearts of over 70 million of her Sons and Daughters. And though we have been robbed the right to be in charge of our borders, no one can rob us the right to our wills. That is why the total Sovereignty of Biafra must be restored, no matter what anyone does. We shall in due time take back the right to control our resources and protect our borders. When that time comes, everything living in this part of the world will feel the wake. 

So, this for the umpteenth time demonstrates the sincerity and intelligence quotient of the minds stemming the tides of the IPOB movement. How resilient the movement is in its modus operandi and attitude to work towards the Biafra self-determination quest guided by its core principles from the onset till this moment, even amidst provocations and temptations of sorts to sway from its purpose. 

It must be very thoroughly understood that Biafra, although nascent at the time of its abrupt birth amidst conspiracy against her existence and survival, enjoyed a semblance and proportionate diplomatic recognition from certain countries of the world. Some or most of these countries such as Haiti, Tanzania, Cote d'ivoire etc. And these nations had not withdrawn their official recognition of the Biafra state even though it is currently defunct. Because they know that it is only a matter of time.

This is why you must commend the resilience of those steering the ship of IPOB. These great leaders never get off their eyes from the ball, irrespective of many challenges. The argument of the IPOB movement and that of her incarcerated Leader has been about the restoration of the Biafra that had already been declared half a century ago. This is undoubtedly the constructive and based philosophical school of thought, as one cannot argue to declare a sovereignty that has already become, instead of campaigning for its reinstatement and restoration. IPOB have stayed on this course and resisted urges to be lured into declaration of Biafra without first the acknowledgement of her initial existence and the injustices meted against her thereafter. 

Because, only from the historical accounts of how Biafra came to be and its tragic demise shall the world and global community of good conscience observe and deduce the level of injustice or factors that led to its declaration then, and also that which it endured while she stayed sovereign. 

It can be argued that the culprits of the genocidal onslaught against Biafra from 1967-70 which claimed the lives of over 3.5 million people mostly children starved to death, have continued to push and sponsor the mind game with words of a "redeclared Biafra" instead of its restoration. Their aim is to clean off their crimes and divert attention from their destructive contributions to the Biafra genocide. This they are projecting through the activities of infiltrators, stooges and provocateurs both in the past and currently. 

The idea is to not only ridicule the current Biafra struggle for self-determination, but to also ensure that Biafra as a state is given the cloak and outlook of a new statehood all together, dispelling her initial existence in the minds of the global community, in a bid to placate the dark and ugly history about the genocide which they actively took part and facilitated. 

Oftentimes, Biafrans are condescendingly accused of being beholden of the past events and memories of the Biafra genocide. This accusations are mostly from the Nigerians who were the guns in the hands of the neocolonialists that made the genocide happen. There has been no justice, no acknowledgement and the marginalization and oppression has not ended. 

There has to be a historical context and concrete basis to make a successful case. And, the current Biafra self-determination quest and her proponents, IPOB has it. That basis is the appeal to the global community that Biafra self-determination is a long overdue project and has endured undue injustices. This is why the term "restoration" is constantly applied. 

The global community, especially the perpetrators are thus under moral obligations to examine their policies taken in the past against Biafra and reshape it for good. And, should they arrogantly refuse, then the people of the world including their own citizens will be placed on notice that the Biafra self-determination quest is also entitled to the right of self-preservation and defense. 

This is the case of IPOB and why all those attempting to deflect attention from this pivot is driving a sinister agenda against the Biafra cause itself, not just IPOB. And, also why they must be exposed, resisted for what they truly are, a fraud and agent provocateurs working assiduously at the behest of the staunch enemies of Biafra and its people.
