EXCLUSIVE: Eye Witness Reveals How Gov Soludo's 'Agunechemba' Squad Framed, And Killed 3 Construction Workers In Owerre Ezu-K'ala, Anambra State
In light of the "Udo ga achi" anti-terror operation recently launched by the 'Agunechemba' vigilante group of the Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo across the state, an eye witness has revealed and decried the extrajudicial highhandeness, misinformation by the security operatives over its latest operation in Owerri Ezu-K'ala, giving a contradicting account to what was published by the operatives and their command.
In a widely circulated video, the Agunechemba operatives whom allegedly stormed the Owerre Ezu-kala community in search of criminals terrorizing the community, reportedly captured some young men presumed to be the criminals and had them paraded as the elements responsible for the criminality in the community.
However, according to an on-ground reliable source who revealed a totally contrary story, the Agunechemba operatives did came for the anti-terror operations in their community, but did not go into the stronghold deep inside the forest where the criminals were based out. According to his story, these criminals are based in a thick forest bridging Enugu and Anambra State towards Owerre Ezu-K'ala- Oro axis.
So, the operatives who came for their assignment backed out and instead resorted to capturing and framing dozens of young men working at a construction site, most of whom were not from the community but were outside employees who were employed by a indegine of the community who is having building project in the community.
Unfortunately three of these site workers were killed and framed as the captured criminals, while the rest were lumped into the back of the patrol vehicles and paraded as the members of captured criminal gangs terrorizing Owerri Ezu-k'ala.
To buttress his findings and claims, the source theorized that if indeed those who were paraded were who they were accused of. Then the area/forest where they were captured would have been recorded, their accessories, charms etc would have been covered in the published video. But, that was not the case. The operatives only recorded the part of the captured alleged criminals without showing further necessary specifics.
According to him some corp members were also abducted but were eventually released when they managed to show their identification badges to the Agunechemba operatives.
This is happening in the backdrop of extrajudicial public-style execution of young men framed as the counterfeit Biafra agitators responsible for the criminality in Imo State by the special forces vigilante group loyal to the governor Hope Uzodimma.
There is a new wave of systematic cleansing and killing spree of Igbo youths in the South-East, this time not from the Nigerian military or police or even the criminals commiting carnage under the guise of Biafra agitation but from the said floated vigilantes and state-sponsored militias formed to combat the criminality and insecurity in the South-East states.
Innocent people are being killed while the real criminals are being left to either escape or continue occupying their positions in the terror strongholds, restrategize and continue the criminality activities against the people and communities.
This is simply unacceptable and must be condemned by all and sundry. The Governors must rein on their militias and their modus operandi in the South-East against innocent people. The murder of this innocent young men must not be swept under the carpet.
Investigations should be initiated and those responsible for the murder of these men held accountable. The militias must go after the criminals, as they were instructed to do and stop terrorizing the same people they claim they want to 'liberate' from the criminals holding their various communities hostage.
