 David Hundeyin Does Not Care About Africa's Fight Against Western Neocolonialism As He Claims

One sad and unfortunate thing about some people who identify as members of  “Obidient Movement” is that they arrogate to themselves the monopoly of knowledge and storytelling. They are megalomaniacs or have an overrated estimate of the impact of their opinion because, mostly,  they have one million plus X (formerly Twitter) followers. 

They pretend to want a functioning country, but a closer look will reveal something sinister, they just want a country that satisfies their own agenda. They are not far behind from those currently wielding political power.

If they misrepresented facts (which is terrible, by the way), it would be bad enough. But what is worse is that they habitually lie and gaslight on controversial issues. Admittedly, there are things Mr. Hundeyin is truthful about, especially the issue of foreign policy classification of Africa as a source of raw material by the United States of America and the European Union. 

Surely, what the USA and EU have done and continue to do in Africa is simply a political and socioeconomic exploitation of the African continent. 

It is quite noteworthy that Mr. Hundeyin acknowledged that Nikel Farage, UK politician campaigned for exit from a union (The EU) which was relatively exploiting the UK economically although he used the word ‘supranational’ to mislead and bamboozle the gullible. 

The European Economic Commission(ECC) of 1957 which later became the EU in 1992 is an economic bloc formed to unite most of western nations cum civilization under a common administrative economic policy in Europe, and this union was and still is majorly under the administrative control of Paris and Berlin as its founding fathers. 

The UK which prides itself as pillar of western civilization through the antecedents of its imperial might of the British empire joined the EU in 1973, and aimed to exert an overwhelming influential role in most of the EU policies in favour of the UK but eventually failed at it. Hence, the call for #Brexit gained traction amongst UK political class emphatically the conservatives and then spread across citizens. Mr Nigel Farage and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson led this #Brexit campaign until its success. 

Taking note of this basic knowledge of why BREXIT happened. It is then imperative to juxtapose it with the happenings that has occurred in Nigeria going as far back to the birth of Nigeria as a colonial construct, the post colonial sociopolitical and  socioeconomic rancor which has led to the resurrection of Biafra agitation led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through the IPOB movement. And, of which Mr Hundeyin smears, detests and skreaks all over the place for. 

It is quite important to enhance that Mr. Thuno Van Zyl, a South African, with the X handle @Thuno1Africa whom Mr Hundeyin was trolling for comparative study of actions by Nigel Farage and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu – and why the later stands incarcerated for campaigning for the exact same thing the former did, knows the truth and is doubling down. 

He knows that David Hundeyin is from Lagos and from the Yoruba ethnic group. He knows that the Yoruba, through the Tinubu's presidency are invading Biafra land the east, exploiting and mortgaging the mineral resources, same way the Dutch and European Boers invaded South Africa. He knows that an invader is an invader regardless of their skin color; they will portray the victim in bad light. He knows that it is wrong for the invader to tell the victims how to defend themselves. 

Notwithstanding, the issue with the childish tantrum of David Hundeyin is not about his hypocrisy of condemning white invasion or supremacy, but defending black invasion, emasculation of Biafraland by the Yoruba tribe, his tribe in conjunction with the Fulanis under the pretext of preserving Nigeria sovereignty. 

It is the figmented imagination of many lies in Mr Hundeyin's head or rather a conscious position to play controlled opposition. Accuse Nigeria of being deeply polarized by the West and being a launchpad for neocolonialism in west Africa but oppose every Pan-Africanist action that would led to the dismantling the neocolonial stronghold in west Africa. 

Do this while hiding under the cloak of Nigeria being the "most strategic country of Africa", quite imperative to ask why Nigeria has not made utmost use of its strategic 'assets' since its inception of over a century or at least since 60 years of independence, instead has continued to nosedive into damnation. 

For clarity sake, it is important to delve into historical archives for context. 

1.In 1960, Nigeria gained independence from Britain.

2.In 1962, political turmoil in western Nigeria commenced (Yoruba land)

3.In 1963, Nigeria became a republic and operation Wetie (escalations of the political tensions and crisis)

4.In 1966, the coup which was meant to enthrone Chief Obafemi Awolowo, a Yoruba man as president of the republic occurred but was immediately tagged Igbo coup, upon its failure.  This led to the pogroms and then the Biafra war.

5.In 1967, the Biafran genocidal war (Nigeria levied war against innocent Biafrans) 

6.In 1970, the war ended. No rehabilitation, no reconstruction and no reconciliation. Just more economic strangulating policy spearheaded by no other than Obafemi Awolowo.

Fast forward to 2012. 42 years after the Biafra genocide, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led a number of disgruntled citizens of the Eastern region to set up the Indigenous People of Biafra movement(IPOB) and Radio Biafra in order to agitate against injustice of situating everything in Lagos and economically and politically strangulating the east where the resources which funds all federal expenditures comes from. 

In 2015, he was first arrested in Lagos. He was detained for two years And In 2017, he was granted bail by a Nigerian Federal High Court. 

He started negotiations with the Nigerian government through South-East governors. His demands which were precursors to the cessation of the agitation were the provision of political inclusivity and enhanced economic development in the East to the height of other regions of Nigeria. 

The Nigerian government after agreeing to the deal, turned it down, and deployed troops to assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but he escaped by the whiskers. It is important to note that Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB members wielded no arms nor posed any security threat to the Nigerian state or any other citizen for that matter.

From 2017 to 2020, the Fulani terrorists herdsmen killings became rampant. And after numerous request, petitions by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the South-East governors to set up a regional vigilante fell on deaf ears, as the Nigerian security apparatus was consciously ignoring her responsibilities to protect citizens against the international Fulani nomadic pastoralists, he, Nnamdi Kanu formed the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in December 2020 primarily to combat the menaces of Fulani killer herdsmen in the Eastern region. 

It is this same Eastern Security Network, which Mr Hundeyin called an "ethnic militia" in his precarious tweet but he however failed to acknowledge or reveal that even before Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB formed the ESN as a vigilante group in the eastern region, there was an Amotekun vigilante group in the South west, his region made up of his ethnic Yoruba kinsmen and their purpose are same with the ESN. This shows the stark hypocrisy of Mr Hundeyin. 

In 2021, Nigeria government committed an international crime of kidnapping Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya and extraordinarily renditioned him to Nigeria to be prosecuted for alleged crimes of treason. However, over the past four years the Nigerian government has failed to prove that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is guilty of any crime against the Nigerian state or citizens other than his profession of his rights to self-determination and self-defense which are natural and internationally recognized inalienable human rights. 

In conclusion, for David Hundeyin to parrot Nigeria government propaganda and disinformations, – the same government which for his partisan political views illegally chased him into exile –, the same talking points which even numerous Nigeria and international courts dismissed for lack of proof or evidence, shows is he is anything but a "Pan-Africanist." 

Mr Hundeyin claims he supports the revolutionaries of AES states but refuses to acknowledge that even before the concerted efforts by the indigenous peoples of the AES confederacy and their patrotic leaders , and even to some extent in Central Africa Republic, to disarm and dislodge the mercenaries of western neocolonialism in west Africa, the Fulani, berber/tuareg nomads, the likes of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB have been doing same in Biafraland. So why does Mr Hundeyin supports the anti-terrorism activities of the AES but rejects same actions by IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu? 

To childishly dismiss the legitimate quest for distribution of wealth from Lagos to other places in  Nigeria is unfortunate. But, what is really insufferable is his mockery of the over 5 million Biafran deaths. Nobody can dismiss or criminalize the legitimate demand for a Biafran Republic through a referendum just like #Brexit happened through a popular vote by British citizens to determine their political and economic future. Biafra agitation will not be cowered until justice is served. 

A "new Nigeria" is not possible, if not any other reason but for the fact that those who propagate this farce notion do not care about the administration of justice to the later, rather the implementation of their own pervase definition of justice and fairness.
