Why The Trump Presidency Must Take Drastic Measures In Defense Of Judeo-Christain In Nigeria
On March 7th, 2025, the U.S. Mission in Nigeria issued a vehement condemnation of the ghastly and ruthless assassination of Reverend Father Sylvester Okwuchukwu, an Igbo Catholic priest, in Kaduna State, Nigeria by rampaging Fulani terrorists.
While the condemnation note from the U.S. Mission in Nigeria is commendable, at least for acknowledging this egregious act of savagery — something that have been elusive since the past four years — it must also exhort the United States to take decisive measures in defense and rescue of the persecuted judeo-christain majority population in Nigeria under the bombarding threat of not only islamic conquest but also ultranationalist Fulani land-grabbing agenda.
The Igbo Christian cleric in question – whom was on an assigned mission for the body of christ, for the avoidance of doubt met his demise in the hands of Fulani terrorists masquerading as herdsmen. The menace of these harbingers of death, destruction and penury against indigenous populations has for years attracted no meaningful response from the Nigerian authorities and armed forces.
A disturbing factor that posit gross compromises of the entire political and security architecture in favor of the terrorists and their brutal campaigns against innocent, armless judeo-christains across the Nigerian enclave.
Presently, these terrorists amass along the borders lines of the Eastern region, exerting relentless and permeating efforts to infiltrate the region. And, in some cases after consistent attempts met by resistance from organized security outfit like the Eastern Security Network, they succeed in perpetrating their terror aims against citizens.
It is imperative to note that their unambiguous objective, remains the execution of a long-standing agenda to impose Islamization, not only upon the Biafran domain, but across the entirety of Nigeria’s disparate regions.
The incessant terror attacks of these Fulani terrorists have inflicted immense proportion of misery upon every region, its people in Nigeria, and their destructive unabated advance shows no sign of diminish until they have subjugated every corner and crevice of the country.
The most recent of their terror campaign attack against innocent civilians in remote areas of Enugu State, South East region with scores recorded either dead or still missing.
It was precisely as a result of these Fulani intense rampage was Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) movement — whom incidentally was abducted and extraordinarily renditioned from Kenya-Nigeria and has been incarcerated since 2021 against the dictates and resolutions of local and international laws, compelled to seek means to arrest and curtail the terrorists and that gave birth to the Eastern Security Network in 2020.
The Eastern Security Network a disciplined, morally grounded security outfit tasked exclusively with the mission of safeguarding the lives and properties of the citizens in the Eastern region against the menacing predators from these kindred terror factions all the way from the Sahel have relatively kept the Fulani terrorists at bay from perpetrating their terrorists acts against citizens in the Eastern region.
Mr. Kanu and the IPOB movement he leads, campaign for Biafra self-determination and greater autonomy through a United Nations supervised referendum in order to enable and guarantee the security of lives, properties and future of the various ethnic nationalities domiciled in the region as the Nigerian government has in general failed to do so.
The principle of self-determination constitutes no offense under the legal frameworks of either the United States or the United Nations, both of which nation and institution respectively, affirm the legitimacy of this fundamental tenet.
It is therefore plausible to posit that the United States, which is widely regarded as a bastion of global moral authority should intervene, if not for anything else, in defense of the innocent judeo-christains whose rights and lives are being brutally taken by radical land grabbers who propagate terrorism under the aegis of the islamic faith.
It is imperative that the United States to acknowledge the profound suffering inflicted upon innocent populations, particularly the Biafrans, a people predominantly composed of Christian and Jewish faithfuls. If not the United States, under the stewardship of President Trump, who else possesses the stature to advocate for these beleaguered innocents?
The relentless and barbarous assault upon human lives across Nigeria serves as a compelling rationale for why the Indigenous People of Biafra, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have persistently demanded an exit from the Nigerian amalgamated union through a UN backed referendum.
Given that self-determination stands as an elemental human right, IPOB has steadfastly upheld the aspiration for a sovereign Biafran state—a fate to be decided by the sovereign will of the people through such a referendum, in order to guarantee the ability defend their own lives themselves and determine their destiny by their very own hands.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon the United States to undertake a meticulous and exhaustive review of the crimes against humanity perpetrated by these Fulani terrorist against not only defenseless judeo-christain domiciled across Nigeria but concentratedly in the South, but also indigenous populations who are being internally displaced from their ancestral homes, for its perpetual occupation by Fulani, Tuareg nomads whose ancestry are only slightly traceable to the foothills and deserts of the wider Sahel.
